SALT SESSIONS

We offer small group training classes and sessions. These are complimented by individually crafted assessments, coupled with bespoke wellbeing journeys and PT programmes, for total beginners, through to elite athletes. Offering bespoke pay-to-train fitness for every body, join sessions as you choose, simply by registering and booking online. Sessions run from dawn to dusk.

Designed to keep you moving, these fast paced VersaClimber classes blend exercise with heart-thumping bass beats. Climb to the summit, smash it. Upright, you control the resistance.

Our 45 minute climbs burn more calories than any other burner in the gym, by a mile. Climbers scale dizzy heights daily, against a backdrop of amazing playlists. Zero impact, maximum sweat.

SALT BOOTCAMP

“Taking the outside inside for the winter months”

Temporarily replacing SALT Outdoors, this session is a mixture of HIIT training and functional fitness. Replicating daily movements to assist you in everyday life, this will be a great full body workout torching calories and body fat, increasing your fitness using a mixture of all the gym equipment.

Keiser Strength & Conditioning: these innovative sessions feature exercises designed to build power, strength, endurance, and mobility. Suitable for all levels of fitness, these small group sessions will be adapted for your needs.

We'll be using the Keiser kit on the SALT floor, alongside a treasure chest of equipment and some body weight exercises to get your heart rate up for some added cardio. Keiser: because 'good enough' isn't.

In this high intensity, circuit style, resistance training class you'll master strength building techniques on the Keiser kit. Mainstream cables, pins and plates are gone, so gravity won't slow you down in this 45 minute small group session.

Build strength, tone and continually push your limits, without punishing your muscles and joints.

PILATES FLOW

1 HOUR

Take a relaxing flow to release tension, improve posture, and encourage mind-body awareness. Perfect if you are new to Pilates or just fancy a refresher. Sessions are hosted in The Ballroom; simply bring water and a towel - mats are provided (or you can bring your own).

An energising session, you'll focus on developing dynamic strength - improving core strength and balancing the total body by strengthening muscles, lengthening tight areas and improving mobility through your hips, spine and shoulders. Sessions are hosted in The Ballroom; simply bring water and a towel - mats are provided (or you can bring your own).

RULES OF ENGAGEMENT

All you need to know...

Joining our SALT community is easier than ever. We use a system called 'TeamUp'. You can create a profile, buy credits, view our timetable, book sessions and amend your bookings, online.

GET STARTED

Indoor sessions:

If you have been to one of our sessions before, you just need to be ready, outside the studio 5 minutes before each session. Our instructors will check you in using an iPad. If this is your first SALT experience, please arrive 10 minutes early.

Outdoor sessions:

If you are joining  us for SALT Outdoors, we will meet 5 minutes before session on the lawns by tennis court (no earlier). Social distancing and safety guidelines must be adhered to at all times. Please bring water and 2 towels - 1 for laying on (or a mat), and the other to mop your sweat

If you bail out with less than 12 hours' notice, or bottle it and no-show, you will lose your session fee. All sessions can be booked and cancelled by logging into your TeamUp account.

Any Covid-19 related cancellations will receive their credit back.

Hydrate before, during and after your session. If joining us for a Climb, it can take several sessions to get acclimatise to the Versaclimber, so take breaks when you need them.

Bring a recycled water tank and we'll fill you up.

If joining a SALT Outdoors session, please bring your own water.

Eat at least 1 hour before your session, no later.

A good pair of trainers are a must. Otherwise, wear your own style, there are no rules.

Lockers, showers and toilets are available.

All our small group training sessions are high-intensity, so make sure you consult a doctor before you train with us.

If you are vulnerable to flashing lights and loud music, or find it disorientating in low light, SALT may not be the right environment for you.

Please use the water holders provided and keep walkways clear of obstructions at all times.

If at any time you feel light-headed or dizzy, please raise your hand for assistance.

We are acutely aware of the upheaval to our everyday lives that we have all experienced in some way, it is with that in mind we must all face some changes and make adjustments:

Masks must be worn in line with Government guidance.

You'll spot lots of slick hand sanitiser stations - please use these frequently. Please also be sure to respect social distancing guidelines  (1 metre plus), and we'll do the same.

If you have been before, please arrive no more than 5 mins before your session or class to avoid overcrowding. If you are new and this is your first SALT experience, please arrive 10 mins before your session or class.

SALT Gymnasia will be operating with reduced capacity, but our SALT Squad will monitor things closely and we'll always do our best to make sure we have enough sessions to fulfill your appetite for fitness.
