Are you desperately seeking an events venue in North Devon with a difference? At the award-winning Woolacombe Bay Hotel, we have the perfect solution for gatherings, small and large.
Away from the hustle and bustle, yet close to Barnstaple, our Victorian hotel is in the most beautiful beachside location. We have a choice of lovely events spaces, great for all manner of occasions. We also have loads of free parking.
We have 2 of these suites, side by side. Both feature bi-fold doors leading to the light-filled hotel atrium which has its own private entrance. With opulent décor, they're great for intimate sit-down gatherings and baby showers.

Perfect for intimate celebrations for up to 20 special guests, this suite offers breathtaking views across our manicured lawns out to the Atlantic Ocean. It's grand, light-filled and impressive.
MAXINE'S LOUNGE & BAR
A plush private hideaway
Tucked away from the hubbub of the hotel, Maxine's offers space for up to 40 guests and has access to a large private lounge area. Featuring floor to ceiling windows, this space is lovely and light. With its own private bar, it's great for drinks receptions, christenings, twilight soirées and funeral teas. Maxine's has recently been refurbished. It's a plush space with sink-into-me sofas and a vintage foosball table.

A real showstopper
With its high ceilings, magnificent pillars, crystal chandeliers and full-length windows, Doyle’s is the epitome of timeless elegance. This space comfortably accommodates up to 100 guests (seated). It is primarily available for daytime events - great for christenings, naming ceremonies and afternoon tea parties.

Fit for a ball
Our largest suite, this opulent space features beautiful glassed archways which deliver natural light and beautiful views. With high ceilings and flexible configurations, this room rarely feels crowded. There's scope to screen off a portion of the suite, keeping it separate for serving food and drinks. For show-stopping functions and larger events, The Ballroom with its sprung dancefloor, is fit for a ball.

Seating up to 30 guests, our spectacular plush private screening room Neo - features luxury sofa style seating for laid-back lounging. It is available for hire for private screenings and events. Perfect for launch parties, announcements, or just a luxury 'night in' with all your favourite people. Sit back and enjoy table service, or hire the cocktail lounge and bar too.

We don't do anything off-the-peg here. Food is one of our greatest passions so when you host an event here at the hotel we'll work with you to get your menus just so.
We are very flexible when it comes to food for your event. So you can choose to serve our seasonal menus, plump for a bespoke party menu, opt for vintage afternoon teas all round, or you may have some fun ideas of your own. In which case, our team of talented chefs can help you to perfect it.
In autumn 2018 we were proud to be awarded our second AA Rosette for dining.
