PILATES

Sessions

Pilates is a total body, low impact exercise that balances strength with mobility. Practicing Pilates on a regular basis will improve:

  • Posture
  • Muscle strength & tone
  • Balance & coordination
  • Joint mobility & muscle flexibility

You'll focus your mind and challenge your body, in a single practice.

Suitable for all ages and levels of ability and fitness, incorporating a regular pilates practice into your training regimen can greatly support and enhance any activities you do. Whether you’re seeking to reach elite status, or just to feel good, Pilates will positively enhance your lifestyle.

YOGA

Sessions (new!)

We host two kinds of yoga sessions: Yin Yang Yoga (1 HOUR 15 MINS) and Vinyasa Flow (1 HOUR 15 MINS). Both are led by Coral Hawkins, and will take place in either The Ballroom, or out on the lawns.

An intuitive led practice taught with intention, love and care. Stepping on to your mat to begin your week with mindfulness, setting you up for the rest of the week feeling grounded, energised and positive. A tonic of movement, stillness and breath to reach deep states of peace, presence and relaxation to leave you feeling nourished and recharged.

We will build flexibility and strength, physically, mentally and emotionally. You will learn tools you can use off your mat in our busy day to day lives that help with anxiety and stress.

"You cannot always control what happens on the outside, but you can control what happens on the inside."

5 SESSION PASS: £45 (valid for 6 weeks)

YIN YANG YOGA

Yin Yang Yoga blends two styles of yoga into one practice – bringing together the benefits of passively holding yoga poses with more dynamic sequences and flows. For a balanced yoga practice, we need both yin and yang elements.

YIN YANG YOGA

Benefits of
Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a slower practice where poses are passively held for longer, working on the deep connective tissues and joints in the body. Yin is more internal, passive, cooling and downward.

Stimulates the meridians (energy channels) bringing balance to the organs in the body
Improves flexibility and joint mobility
Calms and balances the mind and body
Reduces stress and anxiety
Works deeply on the connective tissues (fascia, tendons and ligaments)
Can prepare the practitioner for meditation practice

Benefits of
Yin Yoga

Benefits of
Yang Yoga

Yang Yoga is the more traditional based asana practice that develops muscular strength, stamina, and flexibility. It is more external, dynamic, warming and upward.

Strengthens and tones the body
Improves flexibility and circulation
Increases stamina
Calms the mind down by inviting us to synchronise movement with breath
Removes tension and obstacles in the body to allow breath and prana to flow

VINYASA FLOW

Vinyasa Yoga is a creative form of yoga where poses are linked together with the breath in a flowing sequence. It is a moving meditation that focuses on exploring the relationship between mind, body, and breath and suitable for all bodies, no matter your experience.

The beauty of Vinyasa Yoga is the variety. There is no standard sequence in Vinyasa Yoga, so the style, pace and intensity will all vary each week. The class may be dynamic and focus on strengthening postures, or it may be a slower flow with an emphasis on mobility and flexibility in the spine or the hips.

Wear your own style, there are no rules!

For Pilates and Yoga, the most important thing to remember is comfort and flexibility. The best clothes to wear to these classes are ones that are form-fitting. Loose, baggy clothing can make it difficult to move, and make it difficult to observe your form.

Lockers, showers and toilets are available.
