ABOUT THE HOTEL
FRIENDLY HOSPITALITY
Woolacombe Bay Hotel is an independent, family-owned hotel. We have a selection of spaces that are suitable for wakes in North Devon, each is different in size. We can host wakes for 10 – 80 guests. Depending on what you’re looking for in terms of privacy and size, we can recommend the best space, whether this is Maxine’s Lounge, Doyle’s Restaurant, Lundy View, or the Lancaster Suite. We also have landscaped lawns and free parking for your guests.
FOOD & DRINK
FLEXIBLE OPTIONS
We have a range of options when it comes to refreshments. We can arrange a wake simply on a room hire basis, with drinks included or charged through the bar. Alternatively, we have various dining options, whether you would like a finger buffet, hot food or a seated dinner. Please let us know what you have in mind, and we will prepare some simple options for you to consider.
OUR LOCATION
EASY TO FIND
Our beautiful, Victorian hotel is located on the dramatic North Devon coast. It is easy to reach – just 30 minutes’ drive from Barnstaple and ample parking is available for your guests. We have 58 boutique bedrooms and landscaped lawns, leading to the beach; for guests who are travelling to be with you, we can offer special overnight rates. We work closely with lovely local florist, Jane Fulton, and can arrange for bespoke flower designs to dress your space, should you like to.
We are close to Woolacombe Parish Church, Woolacombe Methodist Church, The Parish Church of Saint Mary Mortehoe, and churches in nearby towns of Croyde and Ilfracombe, as well as the North Devon Crematorium.
