North Devon has already seen the hugely popular annual Walking Festival, Ilfracombe Film Festival and Sausage & Ale Festival this year. As we enter summer, music becomes the focus of many events. There’s nothing like good music and a great vibe to raise your spirits and North Devon is the place to be this Summer as it’s alive with festivals and music events. Below are just a few of our headliners...

Book a group of 9 or more and get a magnum of Prosecco on arrival and a free ticket for the organiser.
OceanFest 2018 - Croyde

This family friendly, 3 day festival held in Croyde is celebrating its 20th edition on 15, 16 and 17 June 2018 and is set to deliver the best intoxicating mix of music, surf, action packed sports and locally sourced food. Described as a ‘Summer Feasting and Party Experience’ The Barefoot Ball invites you to relax and unwind with fizz and canapes to the sounds of the Chilled Ibiza Sessions before a 2 course Feasting Experience prepared by award winning creative catering food company, Pickle Shack. Clovelly Maritime Festival - Clovelly
From the hedonistic heights of crowd jumping performances to a rather more relaxing affair at the Clovelly Maritime Festival. Watch the yachts from North Devon Yacht club battle it out in the Clovelly Cup Rally in the bay of the picturesque, historic fishing village of Clovelly. The steeply cobbled streets of Clovelly lend themselves to a variety of street entertainers, live music, event-themed arts and craft stalls, activities and games with some great attractions for the kids, like Punch & Judy and Mermaid storytelling during this celebration of the sea. For the adults, be sure to ‘Have a go on a gig’ with the Clovelly Gig team.
There’s free entry to the festival for under 16’s who come in maritime-themed fancy dress costumes but standard admission charges still apply. Further information on the Land Rover service for the less abled and festival actvities available at Clovelly's Visitor Centre.
Pilton Green Man Festival - Barnstaple
Pilton Green Man Festival takes place in the village of Pilton, one of the oldest Boroughs in England and now in the North Devon town of Barnstaple. On the third Saturday in July each year, this year the 21st July, the colourful and fun Green Man Parade starts in The Square at the southern end of Barnstaple High Street and proceeds to Pilton House followed by two performances of the Green Man Pageant. A great day out for all to experience this ancient festival with fairground attractions, local handmade craft, street performers and food and drink. Seek out the Pimms tent as proceeds go towards keeping the tradition alive and supporting the community of Pilton.
Plan your day with the Green Man Day Timetable. If travelling by car there are numerous car parks in Barnstaple, or the 303 bus from Woolacombe to Barnstaple will take around an hour allowing you time to admire the beautiful North Devon scenery.
Traditional Folk Music - Combe Martin
If you’re looking for an evening to sit back and enjoy true talent then sessions and concerts at The Pack O’ Cards in Coombe Martin is the place for you. Sessions are monthly and don’t just offer folk music but also a great open mic opportunity for people to perform, share songs, words, poems and music. Although free admission, a pot is passed around during the evening for contributions, but based on reviews, acoustics and atmosphere are said to be great value. The fourth Saturday of each month sees guest acts of national and international acclaim. From folk to contemporary music, the concert line up is sure to get you clapping if not singing, by the end of the night. For prices and details on how to book tickets visit Shammick Acoustic.
