Making the most of 'me time'

Here’s another one from our friendly Alchemist Spa team! Whether you have more 'me time' on your hands (and feet) than you ever wanted, or whether you are just looking to make the most of isolating and using your free time to catch up on your beauty routines, we have some expert tips to help you DIY those toes.

YOU WILL NEED...

Base coat primer
Colour varnish
Top coat finisher
Body oil
Bath soak/bubbles
Rock salt
Coconut oil
Body moisturiser
Nail varnish remover
Orange stick (for cuticles)
Nail file
Towel

Let's get started...
STEP ONE
Soften...

Soak your feet for 10 minutes in warm water, add a drop of body oil if you have some, or your favourite bathing product for added luxury.

STEP TWO
Scrub...

Once your feet are soft and smelling fresh, scrub the hard skin around your toes, heels and ankles.

STEP THREE
Mix...

A homemade salt scrub is easy to make, take some rock salt with a spoon of coconut oil and add a drop of your favourite oil.

STEP FOUR
Rinse...

Rinse your feet again and gently dry with a towel.

STEP FIVE
Moisturise...

Moisturise your feet and lower legs.

STEP SIX
Tidy...

Now it’s time to make those pinkies look pretty - push your cuticles back gently, if you don’t have an orange stick to do this you can always use a lollipop stick.

STEP SEVEN
File...

File your nails, remember to file straight across to avoid any in-grown toenails at each side (ouch!)

STEP EIGHT
Prepare...

Wipe your toes clean with nail varnish remover on cotton wool pad and separate them, ready for painting.

STEP NINE
Varnish...

Apply 1 coat of base coat, 2 coats of colour varnish, followed by 1 coat of top coat.

STEP TEN
Relax...

Leave to dry for up to an hour, and voilà!
