What is Pickleball?
Pickleball is a dynamic paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. Played on a smaller court with a perforated plastic ball and paddles, it’s easy to learn, fast-paced, and incredibly fun for all ages.
Pickleball is loved for its accessibility and fun social vibes. Unlike tennis, which requires significant running and skill, pickleball is played on a smaller court, making it easier on the joints while still delivering a great workout. It’s a fun game for families, friends, and competitive players alike!
How to play
PICKLEBALL
Pickleball is easy to pick-up and has a few simple rules:
1. Can be played as singles or doubles.
2. The serve is underhand and must be diagonal.
3. Points can only be scored by the serving team.
4. The game is played to 11 points, with a 2-point lead needed to win.
5. There’s a “no-volley zone” near the net (also called “the kitchen”), preventing players from smashing the ball up close.
And don’t worry if it’s your first time playing pickleball, you don’t have to memorise the rules – we’ve got them displayed down by the court.
