Learn to Surf... Woolacombe Surf School is a professionally run surf school located on the main road into Woolacombe. Our surf coaches are very enthusiastic about teaching all levels and abilities. Their friendly teaching technique provides a safe, enjoyable and exciting environment for you to learn to surf. Woolacombe Surf School is fully accredited by Surfing GB. All lessons will be carried out by professional, fully accredited Surfing GB surf coaches who also hold a valid lifeguard qualification. Come along to Waves Ceramic Studio and explore your creative side. Waves Ceramic Studio is based at The Golden Coast Holiday Village We offer visitors the chance to paint their own pottery. Painting your own pottery is a unique and fun way for the family to spend time together. It's quite simple. All you have to do is choose an item from our display and then paint it. We have a huge selection of pottery from money banks, bowls, mugs, and plates to plant pots, photo frames, dragons, and fairies. Once your pottery is painted, leave it with us and we will glaze and fire it. This process can take 1-2 days. If you have an early departure we can post your painted pottery on to you at home. Don't worry if you don't consider yourself artistic, we have lots of pictures and ideas to inspire you. Staff are on hand throughout your creative session to assit you. During school holidays we suggest you book a table, especially if it is a rainy day as these tend to be our busiest. We regularly upload photos of pottery painted in the studio to our Facebook page. The NEW wave State-of-the-art surfing simulator at The Golden Coast Holiday Village generates a thin sheet of water just a few inches deep that anyone can surf or body board on, flowing over a stationary wave so you can carve, turn and ride in complete safety. Grab a board, get a few tips from our instructors and surf our wave!

Ten Pin Bowling Golden Bowls tenpin bowling alley is great fun which everybody can enjoy. Located at The Golden Coast Holiday Village it is easily accessible from the surrounding North Devon area. Housing 8 genuine Brunswick® lanes, we are proud of our BTBA certified status, open 7 days a week, mid February until the end of November 10am - 11pm (although opening times may very out of peak season) Golden Bowls tenpin bowling alley has a fully licensed bar, with a variety of hot food, drinks and snacks available. We have a variety of arcade machines, American pool tables and air hockey. To avoid disappointment we advise you book during peak season and rainy days as these tend to be our busiest.
